ARE YOU GROWING IN CHRIST?
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you
have need again for some one to teach you the
elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you
have come to need milk and not solid food. Hebrews
5:12
Are you still a baby that still needs milk for
nurishment? Don’t you know the basic principles the
ABC’s of God’s Word? You’ve never been taught
anything else or is it like verse 11 says you have
become dull of hearing? Comparing yourself to a
child, say Danya Rose, how much have you grown in the
last year? Can you make a list of the things you’ve
learned this past year from God’s Word, like Jayme can
with her spelling words? Can you look at a spiritual
picture of yourself from last year and see your
growth? Or have you stopped learning, stopped growing;
because if you have you are slowly dying spiritually.
You are not getting the nourishment you are suppose to
have. There is no excuse no cop out for not
growing. It is your responsibility now that you have
become a Christian. Becoming mature is the practicing
of our senses to discern good and evil like it says
in verse 14. Are you growing in Christ? Have you
matured to the next step of your Christian life? If
not, why not?
