A FRUIT BASKET
Fruit Basket
What do you say to a person when you first meet them? Do you say,
‘What do you do’? That is, ‘What is your employment’? What do you do
for a living? Unfortunately most of us are known by our jobs.
When we die, what do we want people to remember? Is it the fact that
we were a doctor, lawyer, housewife, or an accountant? Of course not!
We want people to remember what kind of person we were. We want people
to recollect how we lived. It would be nice if our bodies reflected a
fruit-basket. The fruit are outcroppings of the Holy Spirit working in
our lives. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
(Gal.5:22-23) We all need to keep remembering these fruits are the
result of living for Christ.
Are you sharing your joy and love to everyone you meet? To the grocery
clerk, the irate driver behind you, the neighbor who plays music till
midnight? Remember
the next time you react to someone how do you want them to remember you?
Because they will, you know?!
